The Pantheon
It's my website so I say let's ramp it up. A tournament of all the best warriors from Olympus, Asgard, Egyptian lore and... why not the Inhumans to round it out!
What is a Pantheon? A collection of gods (small "g') from legend. The Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and countless other cultures all had their legends. Now we take 11 of them, throw in a powerful Inhuman character to keep everyone off balance, and wrap the contest with a 3-way match for the title. Of course, we have Thor and Hercules in the mix, but let's meet all the players.
Round 1: (random selection)
Athena (Olympian) vs Horus (Egyptian)
Hercules (Olympian) vs Kurse (Asgardian)
Isis (Egyptian) vs Artemis (Olympian)
Crystal (Inhuman) vs Valkyrie (Asgardian)
Osiris (Egyptian) vs Ares (Olympian)
Thor (Asgardian) vs Hela (Asgardian)
Yep, Thor gets to show his stuff against the woman that supposedly gave him so much trouble in Ragnarok, Hela. Keep in mind that while we saw an appropriately powered Thor in Infinity War (hammer forge scene only), Hela was grossly overpowered in Ragnarok, and Thor was Thor-lite. This fight is going to be a great test of power.
Hercules vs Kurse is also going to be spectacular. Kurse (also known as Algrim the Strong) was the secondary antagonist in Thor: The Dark World. He's no pushover. Crystal of Attilan will have her work cut out for her against Valkyrie. I'd be rooting for both of them, but only one can win. Osiris was considered the "god of the dead" to the Egyptians and may be the wild card in this tournament, but he faces Ares, the Greek "god of war." Isis the Egyptian rounds out the first round against Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt.
The six winners will match up for three fights in round 2, with the winners of round 2 all fighting each other in a 3-way in round 3. The winner has to beat two foes. I give the edge to Thor, but we'll see. The dice will decide, and Dice Don't Lie!
